American Standard Tool Co. Pocket Revolver Complete Specs and Full Gun Specifications

American Standard Tool Co., of Newark, New Jersey was making .22 Rimfire Pocket revolvers from 1868 to 1873. About 40,000 of Pocket revolvers were produced. The revolver is a close copy of the S&W First Model, 1st issue .22 revolver and is nearly identical to the .22 caliber revolvers manufactured by the Manhattan Firearms Co. The revolver is top hinged with a ribbed, octagon, barrel, six-shot 12 notch cylinder, spur trigger and pearl grips. The top of the barrel rib is roll-stamped: "AMERICAN STANDARD TOOL CO. NEWARK N-J" in a single line. More common were plain and undecorated Pocket revolvers in blued finish than nickled ones with fine engraving. Those plain, blued Pocket revolver woorth much less today than engraved models.
