The left side of the upper barrel is marked “OB 12 ga 3″ – 76 – 32″ / Sporting / Beretta Gardone, VT / 18.6″ with a proof mark. The left of the lower barrel is marked “Excelsior-high strength alloyed steel / KGI,520 / 18.6” and a proof mark, the underside of the barrel flat is marked with 3 Italian proofs, the serial number and date code. The right of the upper barrel is marked “Beretta USA Corp. Ackk. MD / Made in Italy” and the two line warning, the right of the lower barrel is marked “527611”. The inside of the forend bracket is marked “1173”, the upper tang is marked with the serial number and “DT10”. The flanks of the receiver are marked “BERETTA”, seen again on the underside, along with “MADE IN ITALY / DT10 TRIDENT EELL”, the underside by the trigger guard is marked with the signature of master engraver Bottega C. Giorlanelli and “PATENTED”. The receiver and forend bracket have absolutely stunning Purdy-style scroll and floriate engraving, please see our pictures of this outstanding shotgun.
