Browning Citori Lightning Complete Specs and Full Gun Specifications

The lightning-style rounded pistol grip It offers a more open grip than full pistol grip designs. Many shooters feel this gives a slight speed-to-shoulder advantage. It represents a midpoint in design between ultra-speedy straight grips and extremely stable full pistol grips. If offers excellent control for whatever you are after -- fast-flying waterfowl, upland game or just shooting fun. Matching the rounded pistol grip is the forearm. It is nicely rounded at the fore-end and together, they give the name to this over-under gun as "Lightning Style," or in this case, the Citori Lightning model. As to the finish . . . The Citori Lightning over-under shotgun features deeply blued barrels, receiver, top lever, and trigger guard -- and gloss finished walnut stock. The trigger is gold in the classic Browning tradition. The checkering is a fine line 24 per inch cut that is true Browning with its sharpness and precision. This look and quality has long been the choice of serious hunters and gun writers. There is simply nothing to criticize. The look and feel. The absence of a recoil pad adds to the graceful look of its profile, and, of course, saves weight. Reduced weight is one of the primary advantages of this model. Plus, the general look of the Citori Lightning has its roots in early Browning Superposed shotguns -- from which this model evolved. It simply looks and shoots fantastically.

I'm very pleased with my Citori Lightning. It's probably the best O/U I will ever own because more money only buys more fancy. Having said that I did a comparison with my Baikal O/U that I'm also happy with. Right out of the box the Browning needed work t

Browning has gotten the message about the stock. My Citori White Lightening has an impressive walnut stock (with a considerable amount of burling in the wood) and the finish is rubbed oil. The fit is dead on. You have to be patient with wear in time, but

I have Browning O/U 12, 20, 28, and 410 shotguns and although there are many fine shotguns, you will never get a better gun regardless of how much you pay. Fancier? Maybe, but never better. I have been shooting them for nearly 30 years mostly trap and spo

I have had several Browning Citori Lightnings. All were absolute work-horses. After 25,000 rounds my fave Lightning still locks up like a bank vault and it brings down the birds!! If you want just one shotgun, you won't go wrong with a Browning Lightning.

This is a real good gun for the price I had gotten it, they had a great sale at our local sportsmans warehouse store and I just had to get it. The gun is real conferrable and for the price I had gotten for it is amazing

It's hard to rate a gun when you haven't shot it for twenty years. Guns are like clocks--how do you know if they are good? Only answerable after they have worked well for a very long time. Many of the reviews here are cosmetic or idiosyncratic based on pe

Considering how much I paid for this gun ($1500), I expected more. Came in a cardboard box. Even my $1100 automatic came in a plastic box. The wood to metal fit is poor. There is not a smooth transition from stock to receiver. The wood is bland. No figure

The browning citori was released in 1972 if I'm not mistaken and has been the over under of choice for many people. In fact is is the best selling over under on the market today. For me , a hunter and a recreational shooter it is the gun of choice. The on

Very well made gun for a Japan made shotgun. It shoulders qhickly and fits me perfect. I am 6'1" with broad shoulders and long arms. I was worried the Lightning might be a little short for my posture but it is spot on. Every time I bring the gun to point.

I have a Beretta and a Browning Citori. The Browning is different in several ways, but so close to the Beretta it is a matter of taste not quality. The guns shoots well, is balanced, and ejects cleanly. It came from the factory with a hard buttplate and I
