Browning Maxus Complete Specs and Full Gun Specifications

MAXIMUM RELIABILITY. MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE. Real-world reliability is the most important feature any manufacturer can build into a firearm. Thats why it was the first priority when we set about developing the Browning Maxus. The Power Drive Gas System is designed to perform under harsh hunting and shooting conditions with a wide array of loads. But reliability isnt the whole story. The Maxus delivers 18% less felt recoil for greater comfort, 44% less muzzle jump for more accurate follow-up shots, 19% faster bolt speed and 24% faster locktime than the nearest competitor. Unequalled reliability and features, all found in the finest, most reliable gas-operated autoloader ever to swing on a bird.

Great step up

I got this shotgun as a step up into a higher price point. I primarily use it for hunting pheasants and shooting clays, but I hunt turkeys with it as well. Quality has not disappointed. The gun is lighter than other brands I'd looked at by several ounces

Nice Shotgun

I purchased this shotgun two years ago for trap shooting. I shoot between 50 to 100 rounds per week without a problem. The gun is light weight and accurate. I would recommend this shotgun to anyone.

Perfect Upland / Clay Gun

I got this shotgun for a steal on Black Friday this year. It shoulders just right and swings nicely. It is a little bit on the light side for a dedicated target gun, however I wanted a gun for both hunting and clays and it had no problem busting clays. Pu

Not Impressed

Purchased this gun 2 Years ago for dove hunting and intentions of Turkey and water fowl. First time in the field no issues. Running 1 oz dove load I noticed on the 2nd hunt fail to feed. This continued last season and I was fairly aggravated. Take it out

Fantastic Shotgun

I bought this gun at the end of last year and have nothing but good things to say about it. The recoil is incredibly light. I just put 100 shells through it yesterday while wearing a tee shirt and my shoulder doesn't feel it today. The gun is very light a

Very smooth

This is a very nice shotgun and handles wonderfully in the field. It pulls up nicely and the recoil is minimal. Had a great fall hunt in North Dakota, no malfunctions, just lots of fun. The Maxus is nice and light for walking during pheasant hunts, and ha

State of the Art

Without a doubt this is the finest gas operated autoloading shotgun that I have ever owned, and I have pretty much tried them all.. Lightweight, and the recoil seems the same no matter what load I shoot in it...meaning LOW recoil, amazingly low for the li

Best auto to date

Been hunting since 5 years old and handled every type of shotgun out there. My opinion is that the Maxus is the best handling smoothest shooting shotgun I have ever owned. I have even shot the new A5 which is great but still does not compare to the Maxus.

Maxus first day

I have been a Browning man my whole life. First shotgun was dads Belgium Auto-5. Own BPS 10 and 20 gauges. Also own Remington 870 and 1100 12 gauge. I use the 870 for scouting areas I haven't been before as I don't want to beat up my A-5 unnecessarily and
