February 9, 2022Buds was as always a pleasure to do business with...really fast shipping. The Bulldog is a nice hand cannon. Well made locks tight, no slop in the wheel at all. At ten yards very accurate and easy on the hands...the grips work well. Perfect for home prote

February 9, 2022This was my first Charter Arms purchase, and I was impressed. The DA trigger pull is very smooth, and comparable in weight to my S&W Model 10 & 13. I found it pretty easy to shoot well (2" groups) @ 7yds which is really all this was designed for. For what

February 9, 2022Ordered Charter Arms 44SP Bulldog fm Bud's .. very fast shipping, arrived at FFL dealer 2 days later. 5 stars for Bud's. Also, 5 stars for Bulldog .. fired a couple boxes of ammo thru it without a hitch. I like it so well I think I might buy a Pitbull in

February 9, 2022Charter Arms Bulldog is a solid, no nonsense close up self-defense revolver. It's well fit, adequately finished and functions smoothly and reliably. The large rubber grips are great for soaking up recoil, though don't slide over pocket material as might w

February 9, 2022Buds service is always topnotch! Fast shipping and great prices. This is my second CA Bulldog. I had one in the early 80s but traded it for some reason. This one is just as good. I do reload some lighter recoiling 200 grain bullets for it. It shoots my he

February 9, 2022Could not be any happier with my Charter Arms Bulldog .44 Special. The fit and finish on my revolver show good attention to detail. Trigger pull more than reasonable in both single and double action, and in my opinion, the grips do their job quite well in

February 9, 2022I purchased two BullDogs, one for my friend's birthday model number 74420 the single and double action one for myself BullDog model number 74421 which is double action only. Bud's had fast shipping as it arrived within two days to my FFL. I shot it the fi

February 9, 2022Its a good back pocket gun in the woods. At first shot 4" groups at 15 yards but not near aiming point. Filed front site and rear sight groove to move impact and now all rounds hit in the black at 15 yards and stay on paper plate at twenty five yards. Two

February 9, 2022This is a revolver to test your friends nerve. Shoots well and price is right for getting into big bores.

February 9, 2022As usual, Bud's delivers good, speedy service at competitive prices. The revolver is fine. It is accurate. The trigger is good in both single and double action. I do not carry it. But I would not hesitate to carry it. I handload this .44 Special with 215

February 9, 2022Fit and finish is very good. Trigger in single and double is good and very comparable to smiths. Can be stout when firing full loads. Fun shooter with reduced loads. Aim is a tad lower than sights. If you want a good revolver at a good price, buy, you won

February 9, 2022Great revolver for carry, night stand or glove box. A pleasure to shoot, even more so with the Pachmayr Compact Grip. The .44 Special is a fine calibre for a defensive firearm. Given thatt it is a Bulldog with the lightened frame, you want to be very sele

February 9, 2022I like it. I have seen all the reviews there are online. So it's love it or hate it. Bud's got it to the FFL fine. Value for the money and Bud's price is the best. I have shot 20 rounds, the kick is not bad. Low and to the right. It is fun to shoot.

February 9, 2022I purchased a Charter Arms .44 Bulldog in May 2015 and have put about 150 rounds through it. This is an excellent firearm. Very easy to shoot, accurately. Not much recoil and easy to put on target. Buds did a good job and working through them was smooth a

February 9, 2022This is a tight revolver. Lighter than I thought it would be. It shoots well. Trigger action is a bit clunky in double action, great in single action. Trigger weight is kind of heavy so I installed a wolf lighter spring, much better. I would recommend thi

February 9, 2022Bud's came through again with a great sale! Smooth transaction and fast shipping. This revolver is a great bargain. Not a S&W, but as close as you can get, especially at this price. Single action is very light and the double action surprisingly smooth. Th

February 9, 2022Very happy with this gun. I owned one of the original CA Bulldogs, and the quality is much better on the new guns. Picture misleading, as this is NOT a Charter 2000. This caused some confusion with the purchase... Charter Arms folded, was reorganized as C

February 9, 2022I bought this puppy and went to the range. It began binding up after a box of ammo, so I sent it back to Charter. They fixed it, no charge, and now it's fine. Charter gives a lifetime warranty. Good for them! That is the only con. The pro's: This snub no

February 9, 2022I've had the gun about a year and all I can say is its a great gun. I've put about 400 Rounds through it and never a problem. Great for concealing and a real powerhouse. Very accurate at 25 ft. Would recommend for protection.

February 9, 2022Good value for a personal defense revolver. .44 special round is more effective than a .38 shot from a 2" S&W with much less recoil and allows for a quicker more accurate follow up shot. The Bulldog is still small enough and light weight enough for concea

February 9, 2022To the range I go. Ammo where I bought it was pricy to say the least but not the gun/makers fault. I was shooting 44spl 165g FTX from Hornady. This is what I will be using for self defense. I have a big 44 super blackhawk that I hunt with and was expectin

February 9, 2022Picked up this little guy a few months ago, and finally got the chance to shoot it. Shoots well and does not wear out your hand even for the larger caliber. I really like the power that it can deliver and still be a small enough size to carry concealed. I

February 9, 2022Charter Arms is making a fine product that rivals, and in some areas, surpasses compact revolvers by S&W, and Ruger. The Bulldog .44 has been in the Charter line up for decades and must be selling well to have remained in production for so long. The SS

February 9, 2022Buds service is 5 star excellent. The Charter Bulldog is really nice but the finish on the end of the barrel is pitted. The rest of the revolver is fine. At this price point and considering this is a working revolver as opposed to a safe queen, I'll take

February 9, 2022This is my first revolver from Charter Arms. Would like a tighter fit on the crane at the cylinder, but due to the design, there isn't a lot of steel there. It handles the 44 Spl round with comfort though it consistently hit 5" or so low at 15 feet. Accur

February 9, 2022Bud's got my Bulldog in just a couple of days. Fast service. I got 30 minutes free range time with the gun so I put it to use. Using Hornady 180 grain and 165 grain loads the accuracy was excellent at 7 and 10 yards. The lighter grain load shot about an i

February 9, 2022Fit and finish are good. The gun is comfortable to shoot. The trigger pull is great. Double action pull comes in at about 10 lbs. All others are usually too high for my pull gauge to read. I did get a few light primer strikes which fired on the second try

February 9, 2022Great firearm for the price. Charter Arms have been around since the late 70's early 80's. They have had their share of up's and downs...they are on a major up! Quality is good, size is compact, and accuracy great, and dealing with Buds is always a pleasu

February 9, 20223.5 stars rounding up to 4. I really like this gun, but admittedly it has given me some guff. rnWhen I picked it up from my LGS, the grip was coming off. The nut that should be fully seated and secured in the left grip was neither. While I was able to pus
