With no internal hammer the MK3's bolt has little to do except operate the rifles' 10 shot magazine and seat the pellet directly into the rifling, resulting in a bolt action which is under-stressed. Daystate supplies a special key with each Mk3, that when inserted in the switch housed within the rifles' trigger guard, immobilises the rifle and isolates the power. That power comes from a special rechargeable battery concealed in the stock and is capable of powering many thousands of shots. Add to this a choice of two walnut stocks, electronic safety catch, regulator, match trigger, automatic shot counting.
