The Del-ton is one of the better rifle brands especially considering what you get for the price point. No worries here.
Briam - Del-Ton makes a good, 'working grade' AR-15. They're not fancy, not 'tack drivers', and not really 'tacti-cool' like the more expensive ones, but they pretty much go 'bang' when you pull the trigger, and should give you a 2 - 3 inch group at 100 y

Tiny dent on bullet primer
That little "dent" is normal. The firing pin on the AR rifle is free floating ( no return spring) and inertia as the bolt slams shut causes it to lightly strike the primer but never enough to make it fire. Take the bolt apart as you would for cleaning and
Briam - Have you by chance installed an aftermarket trigger group, or lighter weight springs in your factory trigger group? Have you installed a different firing pin? Is this with all types of ammo or just one type? Is this happening every round, or just
Briam, I would take down, clean your Bolt Carrier Group including the firing pin & channel, lightly lube and see if this resolves the issue. You can also contact Del-ton to see what they say on the issue as well at 910-645-2172 or by email inquiry here :

This one or the M&p 15 sport 2?
My vote is the Del-ton. It is more up-gradable as it is closer to true AR specs than the Smith. Example of Smith vs Delton : youtube.com/watch?v=ooFcQ2cyrkE
They are both great guns I have the sport II mainly because I know S&W will be around if I ever need any parts Mine is stock and will not be really modified . Now if I had the desire to tinker with and modify a AR-15 I would get the Del-ton

Anthony, the 316H comes with a "Heavy Barrel" which will heat up slower, it has a "Mid Length" instead of a "Carbine Length" Gas Tube, Carrier Interior Carrier Key - chrome lined, it also has better quality internal parts. It is worth the extra $.
