This is a great rifle at a steal of a price, however the only complaint I have was easily fixable, the screws holding the handgaurd to the barrel nut were loose

Aaron, Just a stock photo. Happens quite often. Photos on item description page are sometimes inaccurate. The description is correct for this DB 15 300 Blackout sporting rifle.

Yes you can Roberto. Any 5.56 rifle can absolutely fire lower pressure .223 ammunition just fine. No worries here.
