The G23 is IT. I have two of them, one for home defense, one for carry. Can't go wrong wih 14 rounds of 40s&w. I prefer the recoil impulse of 180gr bullet weight as it is more of a push than snap. Easy to hide in a Comp-Tac CTAC IWB holster and a very cap
