Hatfield SAS USA12W Complete Specs and Full Gun Specifications

The Hatfield USA Semiautomatic Shotgun's SAS operating system uses gas and inertia to cycle shots with minimal moving parts for maximum dependability. The gas piston moves only 1" to kick the bolt rearward and start the bolt's inertia through the operating cycle. The 28" barrel accepts 2-3/4" and 3" shells and features a full-length ventilated rib. The barrel and machined 7075-aluminum receiver boast high-gloss black anodizing for corrosion resistance. Walnut buttstock and forend with deluxe checkering. Fiber-optic sight. Includes three chokes (F, Mod and IC).

nice looking. Hard to load and plug was too long, plugged the whole tube. Had to cut it down. Instructions said gun comes in 2 pieces, it was already assembled. Hard to charge with small charging handle, not sure if larger handle would even help

Bought this for my daughters birthday. The reviews on YouTube seemed ok. We went to the range and the guns action and loading tube was VERY stiff. Finish was fair. The big problem was the FTF's. Every 5 or 6 rounds it would "click". After about 100 rounds

I read & saw some bad reviews on this gun... I also watched some YouTube videos of guys who had cracked forearms on their Hatfield SAS guns. But, I also know that you`re not supposed to tighten the forearm cap as tight as it will go! Rule of thumb: Tighte

Best for the money

I bought this 12 gauge shotgun before dove season. Thought I would use as a backup to my Remington pump. Shot 3 boxes of shells on clays the week before the season. First boxes had a few jams and by the third box zero misfires. After the clays I was sold.

Great for the money.

I purchased this gun to use as a duck and dove gun as I had not been before, After reading reviews on here I chose some High Velocity ammo and after the first out of the box firing i had no problems. I believe the ammo is the issue. Does buffer recoil pre

A poor man's Weatherby SA-80

I bought one of these in 20 gauge recently, the first semi-auto shotgun I've ever owned. It does require breaking in, and the loading process is a little finicky. I fired a bunch of slugs and high-brass, high-velocity (1300 fps) shells through it at

Takes Work, Great Shotgun Though

I bought this with heavy worry, to make a long story short, right out of the box, I cleaned it, took to range, jammed 3 times in my first 15 shells, cleaned it, ran another 15, jammed once, cleaned it again, ran 15 more birdshot and 5 rounds of slugs then

cheap,simple construction

I own this gun in both 20 and 12 guage. For a cheap entry level gun its great. I have had both mine for about 2 years now problem free. Over 2000 rounds through the 12 and around 1000 through the 20. As with any semi auto shotgun it needs to be cleaned ev

Outstanding Features and workmanship

I recently bought the 2018 Hatfield SAS 12 gauge model. Like any other gun, it need to be shot a lot in order to get everything loosened up and broken in. It like the higher velocity shells the best..Over 1300 fps, but it will also handle the 1200 fps. Th

Good Gun

I bought this 4 months ago and had to send it in for a bad trigger group. Got it back pretty fast and went and shot approx. 60 round through it without a problem. also i had same gun in past and it is a little picky on some ammo. But otherwise good cheap

Decent gun

I've owned this gun for a while now and it's decent but it has some quirks. It's picky about ammo. You have to switch pistons for light and Heavy loads which is annoying. Rounds below 1250 fps velocity and 1 1/8 oz weight may cause ejection

Good for the price.

I have owned this gun for just over a year now. It's picky on ammo. Light strikes have occurred with Remmington shells. The Winnchester and Federal rounds seem to work well without issue. Sent mine in for warranty work b/c of the "light strikes&

Very poorly made.

I have been buying guns for 50 years and it is the worst gun ever. I bought the auto 12 gauge sas.The wood craced and after that wouldn't fire at all.

Horrible Gun

We bought my son the Hatfield 20 gauge for Christmas and the gun kept getting jammed along with not firing. The primer was marked from the firing pin but had to put the shell back in several times and then it would fire. Sent it back to the manufacture an

Sending this gun back a second time.

Not a good buy! It’s cost my son hunts. They made the comment to me that I’ve only sent it back 2 times. They failed to remember they sent me a part once. It’s had every issue imaginable. I’m not buying another Hatfield ever again.
