Heritage Rough Rider Small Bore Complete Specs and Full Gun Specifications

Born of the traditions of the Old West, the Rough Rider maintains much of the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver, only in a scaled down version. The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. A new, more authentic looking flat-sided hammer paired with new exotic brown pearl grips, makes the Rough Rider both functional and handsome. When it comes to the Rough Rider there are no shortcuts taken!

Snake Charmer!

I purchased mine two years ago so I could retire my Grandfather's Ruger Single Six to a shadow box after his demise. So absolutely satisfied with the performance of this little revolver in. 22mag it's completely replaced the Ruger Single Six. Us

A Lot of Gun

These are a lot of gun for the money. However they have some simple issues to rework. First you need to add torque seal to the extractor and hammer screws or they'll back out. Second there is a sharp edge on the back of the hammer to file down or it

Fun to shot, CHEAP but RUSTS ( 3-4 parts of it) after 6mo-1 year, though kept dry in a safe, inside, well ventilated- AVOID

Had mine abt 3 years now

First thing I did was remove that ugly, unnecessary safety. Rough cylinder-bores make extraction of fired brass tough. Polished them with a wire bore-brush chucked into a drill. Accuracy with .22 mag cylinder was inferior to .22 LR ammo, so I rarely use t

US-made quality

Academy had the best price. I'm glad I bought it. Well-made reproduction of the Colt Single-Action. Only differences are cosmetic details, like square trigger guard, toggle safety, and caliber (.22 LR or .22 WMR), plus engraved safety warnings. Nitpi

Accuracy

I have owned 2 of these. One I bought several years ago and gave to my son for his birthday as a backpack pistol for camping because the low price makes it great for that purpose. We could both hit what we wanted to within 25 yds. The second I literally b

Great pistol for the price

I bought this pistol the day after thanksgiving for $99. Pistol is well worth that. Mine shoots to point of aim. Pistol has an impressive heft and a better trigger than guns costing 6 times as much. I am impressed.

Good Gun for the Money

I bought this gun a few months ago. Shoots well and fairly accurate. However, I am not a marksman. I would highly recommend this gun to anyone. I see the price is going up and they no longer provide the additional Mag Cylinder.

Very good .22 Revolver

I have had mine for a while and I love it. It is accurate out of the box. I read the review about the firing pin issue. Not saying this is the case, but never dry fire a rimfire gun without a snap cap or fired case in it because unlike a centerfire gun th

Great gun for the price

I bought this gun on Black Ffiday 2014. I got it for an excellent price. I was going to get a Ruger single six but this gun is so accurate and so much fun to shoot I think I will save my money. I went to the Herritage website and ordered a set of wood gri

Accurate and fun

I bought this gun in December and finally got the chance to shoot it today after much anticipation. I heard it lacked in accuracy until it had 100 or so rounds through it, however, my first shot landed within 1/4" of bullseye, and it didn't stop

Excellent First Handgun!

The Heritage Rough Rider is an excellent first handgun for several reasons. It is high quality for the price, accurate and reliable, and looks awesome. Because it takes time to load/unload, every shot counts and will make you a better marksman. Very fun w

Great first gun

This .22 cal revolver was my very first gun and I've particularly enjoyed the look of the 6" barrel. I recommend this gun to target plunking enthusiasts and to youngsters that are saving up to buy there first firearm.

Nice grips, little expensive, hard to find ammo

I bought this a month ago and am pretty satisfied with my purchase. My only issue with this gun is that it is very hard to find ammo. Otherwise, great gun.

Total junk

After many positive reviews, I purchased a Rough Rider back in December, 2014. The gun would only fire about 3 out 6 shots, with the firing pin almost entirely missing the cartridge rim most times. (Despite Academy's "absolutely no returns"
