The Model 720 was the most produced shotgun from Hopkins & Allen Arms Co. It was a 20 gauge single shot shotgun with an outside hammer and full choke barrel. Automatic ejectors automatically ejects 2 5/8 or 2 3/4 12 gauge shells upon opening and make it possible to reload fast. The rebounding action of the hammer provides a safeguard against accidental discharge. It was easy to remove the barrel on this take down shotgun. Just take off the forend, swing aside the top lever and remove the barrel. The Model 716 was first featured in their 1902 catalog with a price of $5.50 for the 30 and 32 inch barrel versions, $6 for the 34 inch barrel and $6.50 for the 36 inch barrel version.
