James Purdey Sporter S12GA28 Complete Specs and Full Gun Specifications

The Purdey Sporter, a new over and under gun, has been launched by London gun and rifle maker James Purdey & Sons. It is made after five years of intensive development in cooperation with Italian boutique gunmaker Perugini & Visini. The key components of action body, barrel monobloc, trigger lock body and fore-end iron are manufactured in Purdey’s high tech CNC machine shop in Hammersmith, with Perugini & Visini undertaking assembly in Brescia before the guns return to London for proofing and finishing. The first Purdey Sporters is 12-bore, single trigger, with 30” barrels fitted with the Teague multi choke system. 28” barrels are offered as a option. Stocks are high grade oil finished walnut with English pistol grip, 15” length as standard, options for left or right handed use and length to fit. Engraving can be fine rose and scroll or large scroll, with colour hardened actions and blacked furniture. Price, inclusive of VAT, is L28,750 and delivery times vary from ex stock to six months depending on options. A 20-bore version will join the Purdey Sporter range in due course.
