The Madsen Machine Gun was named afted Danish Minister of War, Captain Madsen and adopted by the Danish army in 1902. It was one of the first light machine guns and it was massproduced and exported in over 30 countries. The Madsen Machine Gun and its' submodels were manufactured over fifty years in about a dozen calibres. The Madsen Machine Gun was used in both WWI and WWII.
