This rifle is not the same Marlin of yesteryears but it is still a decent gun. Mine is not as accurate as my Marlin 795 which has a worse trigger but I'm still trying different ammo so maybe it will get better. Overall not a bad gun for the money.

Very nice .22lr, short, long. The stainless finish attracts attention at the range. Was going to get the blued version but not available and so glad it wasn’t. Not much more for the stainless. No problems after 550 rounds. Very accurate at a great price.

Put a few hundred thru this rifle. Like its accuracy and finish. Think it's way muzzle heavy. Added weight in hollow butt stock to get a better balance. All range time, could play with this one all day.
