The FAMAS F1 (Fusil d'Assaut de la Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Étienne) is a bullpup-styled, lever delayed blowback action assault rifle designed and manufactured in France by MAS (Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Etienne), which is now a member of the French government-owned Nexter group. It is the service rifle of the French military and over 400,000 of them were buit. The FAMAS G2 is newer, upgraded model of FAMAS F1 that become standard rifle of French Army and Navy in 1995. Every FAMAS rifle is equipped with the carrying sling and with detachable bayonet.
