Osvaldo Gatto Armas Antiguas Napoleonic 1855 Complete Specs and Full Gun Specifications

This life-size field cannon is built keeping the Napoleonic type as a model. This one was used in the American Civil War. It has a beautiful 3 inches caliber bronze barrel with a steel inner lining. This is known as “in a group of six” Its strong wheels are built so that they can endure the hardships of transport and combat. They are 1,05m in diameter and are set on an extremely strong steel axle. This type of cannon was used to shoot shrapnel, that is to say small lead balls, musket balls, link shots and also, but less frequently, round ammunition to pull down walls, masonry or barricades. Even though it is a life-size cannon, it is the smallest one used in battlefields by the middle of the 19th century. It was greatly appreciated for its versatility and ease of movement. Features: Caliber: 3". Tube length: 115 cm. Steel interior shirt. Wheel diameter: 105 cm.
