February 9, 2022Outstanding!
I have been a black powder shooter since 1960, when I shot a .58 Cal Springfield 1861.This Kentucky rifle is outstanding, and the accuracy is something to be experienced. Right out of the box, 60 gr FFG Goex, the first three shots from a rest formed a 3-l

February 9, 2022Great Rifle!
This is my fist black powder gun and I am very satisfied with this rifle. Fit and finish are excellent and it is incredibly fun to shoot. It shoots very well out of the box and the sights seem to be dead on without adjustment though I haven't done a lot o

February 9, 2022Excellent rifle
I already have a Pedersoli from Cabela's and could not be happier with my 45 Kentucky rifle. The wood to metal finish is extremely good and the wood grain is very nice. The bluing is consistant from one end to the other. It shoots very nice groups out to

February 9, 2022I got a lemon
The rifle I got off the shelf in my store had a lot of issues. I tried different load combinations but couldn't get it to group consistently. I think it may have been a bad barrel from production. My local cabelas store took it back and I ended up going w

Excellent gun for the price. Not real fancy but a good shooter. Well balanced. Good trigger. Good gun to get into black powder shooting. Would recommend.

February 9, 2022Pedersoli does it again
This is my fifth Pedersoli gun and other than bad sights, the gun is very good. I refinished the wood and browned the barrell to make it look older. Sights need work. Use a dremmel tool on the front or file for an hour. I like the length, balance is great

February 9, 2022great shooter
I walked by this gun in the bargin cave, and stopped back a week later to see if it was still there. There were two cosmetic blemishes, one on the lock and one at the muzzle but it was still a fine looking rifle. Well I bought it, I thought it would be ju

February 9, 2022Quality?
The first rifle I received had some bluing issues with the barrel (it did not take) and Cabela's did their charm and another one was shipped shortly. The second had the same issue as the first except towards the front side and again, Cabela's stood by the

February 9, 2022Cabela's Kentucky Percussion Rifle
Bought this rifle as a present for my grown son who is a Civil War re-inactor. The boy was thrilled!! Spent all day shooting up my 50 cal. balls, powder, patches, etc. Fit and finish is very good. Don't know if the barrel has some kind of bore coating, bu

February 9, 2022Nice rifle
Pros: Shipping was fast. Very well packed. This is a quality rifle. The wood was nicely oil finished and free of blemishes. There was subtle figure in the grain. I liked that. Brass fittings were nicely polished and well fitted. The percussion lock is of

February 9, 2022A Beautiful Little Rifle
Davide Pedersoli (DP) again has not failed to impress. This is a beautiful rifle and my second DP black power firearm, the other being a Blue Ridge (BR) percussion in 45cal. I wanted something is 50cal should the opportunity arise to hunt deer w/ round ba

February 9, 2022Low Powder capacity
I was unaware that the Kentucky Rifle is only capable of handling 65 grains of Pyrodex or black powder when I ordered it. I've had comparable versions from CVA capable of up to 120 grains, though it seemed to shoot best at 90. It remains to be seen whethe
