I always disassemble, clean and lube a new firearm when I get it home. With a plastic mallet I was able to remove the wedge that retains the front assembly. That's as far as I got. The cylinder would not slide forward on the cylinder pin more than half an

February 9, 2022Well made, but needs a bit of smithing
While I am very happy with the gun, there are some things a buyer should know. Internal fit and finish needs some final smoothing to really bring the gun into the area of sweet. The primary problem with this gun was the bolt is wider than the grooves in t

This is a really nice gun. The bluing is beautiful. It functions perfectly. I put 100 rounds through it already and I have not had any problems with it in regards to its function. It is really fun to shoot.

I've had this gun for a few months. I like the finish, fit, and balance. It shoots high at 10 steps, but should be on at maybe 20 steps. #11 caps hang-up in cylinder - #10 caps would be better. This is a good gun.

I bought the Hickcock model prior to this one and was very pleased with the quality and performance. Wanted to see how the standard model measured up. She is just the same. Very happy with them and Pietti.

Excellent Italian reproduction made by F.LLI Pietta in Brescia. Fit and finish is excellent. Good shooter, but just like the originals, shoots high. In my opinion, the '51 Navy is the "crown jewel" of the percussion revolvers. Versions in .44 ca

First, for the money....this is the best deal going on the web(Cabela's). Fit and Finish is very good...top of the line replica revolver. At this time I would like to add....these are close to the quality of Uberti....very close and you will save $60 to $1

I couldn't tell by the photos, but just so you all know, this revolver does have the naval battle scene engraved on the cylinder just like the original colt model. Everything else is exactly like I expected. Definitely worth the $.

This revolver represents good value for the money. Currently, Cabelas would seem to have the best price for Pieta reproductions. The extra instruction booklet that Cabelas includes is very helpful, especially in regards to min / max powder charges. This b

First off. you have to know that this weapon takes #10 caps/ not said any where, including the owners manual. Second, You must get 0375/ .36 Cal Rounds. I ordered online and got 350 Rounds. 2 small. however, Cabelas people on the phone made it right. I us

This revolver is made by Pietta in Italy. Many years ago I owned several cap and ball revolvers made by Pietta. The quality was so so and they all needed work to make them function smoothly. At that time Pietta was not considered the maker of high quality

February 9, 2022Buy me
I bought this pistol a couple of months ago and finally got to use it. It quickly became one of my favorites. While I love Remington New Army's this pistol is far lighter and contrary to what everyone says the lack of a backstrap can be easily over come.
