The 1867 Remington Rolling Block Rifle was made by Remington in 1867. Remington first made 10,000 rifles and 20,000 actions in the U.S., and then production of the rest of the 1867 Remington rifles was moved to Scandinavia where they were made under the Remington license. Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori and Husqvarna in Sweden made about 250,000 and Kongsberg Vaapenfabrik in Norway made about 53,000 of them. They were adopted by the Swedish and Norwegian Armies.
