The 4-pound 14+1 capacity .22 LR Remington Nylon 66 semi-automatic was the company’s first polymer stock rifle. This transformative .22 LR happened in collaboration with DuPont. They developed the rugged, lightweight and resilient structural Nylon 66 polymer that Remington used for the (simulated wood) stock and receiver. The 19.5” length barrel was 4140 ordnance steel. Length-of-pull was 13 5/8”, drop was 2 3/8” and overall length was 38 1/2". The tube magazine wasn’t under the barrel, but rather ran from the buttstock to the chamber. Ammo was loaded through the buttstock by removing the butt plate
