Ruger 77/357 Complete Specs and Full Gun Specifications

The RugerĀ® 77/357 is a fast-handling, hard-hitting bolt-action rifle well suited for hunting deer or hogs in heavy cover where quick shots are taken at relatively short range. The 77/357 comes equipped with open sights; the front sight is dovetailed into a very secure banded and soldered base, and the rear sight is adjustable for both windage and elevation. Integral scope mounts are machined directly into the receiver, which eliminate any chance of the base loosening under recoil; and stainless steel scope rings come with the rifle. The 77/357 operates with a 5-shot rotary magazine that fits flush with the stock at the rifle's balance point, aiding in the lightweight rifle's ease of handling. A 3-position safety allows shooter to load and unload the rifle with the safety engaged in the mid position, and locks the bolt solidly when the safety is all the way to the rear. With a synthetic stock and stainless steel barrel and receiver, the 77/357 endures the worst weather conditions. The Ruger 77/357 Bolt-Action Rifle, with its 18.5" barrel, shoots the proven .357 magnum cartridge approximately 200-400 fps faster than a revolver, making it adequate for big game hunting and personal defense.

Excellent gun. Just what I wanted. Iron sights are a little off center (as in the barrel is rotated). I've got a scope on it so it doesnt matter.

In over 60 years of collecting/shooting/reloading firearms, this sweet little carbine M77/357 is my favorite. So versatile for a handy, yet semi-powerful, weatherproof, shop/truck/backdoor gun for quick use around the property. Very fun for target, and gr

I was very excited to own the only bolt action .38 / .357 on the market, but it didn't work out. Ruger's customer service was top notch, but after sending it back to the factory four times, they just could not fix the feeding issue. They were nice enough

Over all, this is a great firearm. It is very light but even with full house loads in the 357 Magnum it is very comfortable to shoot. Shooting the 38 Special cartridge puts it down to felt recoil levels not much above 22 LR. I have not accuracy tested

Is this actually in stock or is it a mistake?

Unknown 6 years ago

They sometimes get new old stock from distributors. The price of the pistol caliber m77s made them slow sellers, so there are still some new left out there.

Unknown 6 years ago

No. According to the specs it is for the 22WRM and the 17HMR only.
