I went with a Vortex scope, Very accurate @ 1000 yds (farthest I've shot). smooth, almost no recoil. Only downfall is it weighs about 25 pounds. Excellent foe bench/still shooting.

This rifle is everything Ruger said it was and then some. Bought one in 6.5 Creedmoor and I couldn't be happier!!! Shoots sub-MOA groups out to 300 yards with my handloads. It's well built, finish is excellent, overall it's just a nice gun. Not too thrill

this rifle is the best, ruger has went all out. it has replaced other rifles that i love. its great, ammo is good priced, for the caliber. i have mine in the 6.5 creedmoor, and the trigger is adjustable, the recoil is lo.

I have 4 other , 308 cal. each a different mfg., that I shoot targets with.I have found that out of the box this is the best all around target rifle I have in 308 cal.

I purchased this rifle in 308. So far I've been unable to get it to shoot any better than about 1 MOA despite using multiple types of ammo. Ruger has recommended to at least one owner that they try 175 grain bullets. So far only tried 150 gr, 165 gr, 168g
