February 9, 2022Boringly Accurate
I chose this rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor with the sole intention of rebarreling to a custom handlapped barrel, but now that I have put some rounds through it i'm going to hold off for a while. The rifle I received with very little load work up with some H4350 w

February 9, 2022300WM is a shooter
I bought this in 300WM and it is a shooter! I for sure wouldn't hump this gun around hunting BUT I didn't buy it for that. It is a bench-rest/tactical rifle and it excels at it! Broke it in and my 4th group of handloads shot into .4moa. I will for sure be

February 9, 2022AMAZING
I have been wanting to do some long range shooting for some time now. I purchased this rifle and had a Nikon Black FX 1000 6-24x50 with vortex scope mounts installed by Cabelas. I started with a 25 yard sight in. After a few adjustments it was dead on. I

Puta cabellas 3x12 scope on and a muzzle break on and I was dinging a 4” gong at 200 meters, les recoil than my Ar, well mannard, predictable, excellent fitting, by far a great buy, Savage has done an excellent job on this one.

February 9, 2022accurate rifle,rough barrel
I purchased this rifle in 300 winchester. After firing, I examined the bore with a Lyman borecam and observed over 100 pits. Cabelas returned the rifle to Savage for repair. The replacement barrel was also pitted with a rough internal finish. The rifle sh

February 9, 2022Just OK
Overall the rifle is OK but Savage could have done a much better job on the functionally. The Bad1 - a 4 shot magazine? really? in .223 a nice varmint caliber but only 5 shots total.2 - single feeding is near impossible because of the design of the feed ra

February 9, 2022Excellent rifle for the price
I have put about 60 rounds of the Hornady ELD over the last 2 weekends. 0.5 MOA with the 87gr ELD. The only issue was the 20MOA rale. My Lepould VX-3i LRP 6-20x50 scope does not have enough down adjustment to zero at 200 yards. Corrected with a 10 MOA ral

February 9, 2022disappointed
I purchased this rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. It was the first of two Savage rifle purchases I've made over the past few months and is the first Savage I have ever owned. It shoots great! achieved 1/2 moa with the first bullet, powder combo I tried. The accutr

February 9, 2022Dead on by the 4th shot
I purchased the 6.5 Creedmoor, got it on sale so no complaints about the price. Before even sighting in the rifle, I swapped out the factory stock with a Boyd's thumb hole feather weight. The factory Accustock appeared to be very impressive with the imbed

February 9, 2022Got a good "factory" rifle (finally)! I give a 4.5
I have gone through many factory rifles and calibers in the last 40 years, and have to say, the Savage 10T SR in 6.5 Creedmoor is the most accurate off the shelf rifle I have ever owned. I have about 200 rounds through it and I keep careful records. Facto

February 9, 20226.5 Creedmoor - Trouble ejecting case after shot
As with any manufacturing process, sometimes a bad one slips through quality control. Unfortunately I was the unlucky recipient of one.

Great value. I purchased the 10T-SR chambered in 223. Mated with Cabela's Covenant Tactical SFP Riflescope 4-16x44. After break-in the Black Hills 77 gr SMK rounds produced .5 minute angle. My last 5 shots at 500yds hit the 9 inch gong (disclaimer - I am

February 9, 2022Current 6mm rifles are 5R and 26”
Took delivery of a 10T-SR in 6mm Creedmoor today, Feb 23, 2018. I assumed by way of many reviews that this rifle would have a 6 land barrel at 24 inches.

February 9, 2022Outstanding Rifle
Light crisp adjustable trigger, love the 5R rifling, and BA bolt handle. Added a Harris Bipod, Vortex Glass, comb riser kit and muzzle break. Purchased the 6.5 Creedmoor 24" barrel using Hornady 140 gr ELD Match and this rifle is very accurate with t

February 9, 20226mm Creedmoor Chamber issues
My 6mm Creedmoor version of this rifle would not chamber Hornady ammo and after being given 3 different models of the same rifle and four returns to Savage my rifle was given an excessively lengthy chamber that leaves me with a .200+ jump. Letters to Vist

February 9, 2022Awsome Gun & Bang for the Buck
Picked up the Savage 10T-SR in 308WIN, on sale with a rebate. Can't beat it, the best group to date is with 185gr Juggernaut Federal Factory loads 0.63", also shot some 0.75" groups with 168gr ELD Match. If i could afford it, i would buy one in

February 9, 20226mm Creedmore
First impression is 5 star. Great balance and great trigger. The reason it is not a five star all the way is of a tight chamber. With factory 103 eld it was pushing the bullet into the case from 2.794 to 2.720 and causing high pressure. With that being sa

February 9, 2022Very good shooting gun
I have put almost 3 boxes of shells through this gun and shot out to 200 yards and it is a tack driver. It's a phenomenal shooter with a great trigger. I got it on sale with an additional rebate so the price was hard to beat for what you were getting. The

February 9, 2022Awesome in 6.5 Creedmoor
I bought the LH version and was very happy to even see it available in Lefty. Did a break in on the rifle for 20 rounds. Adjusted the trigger to 2lbs. Made some handloads with Berger 140 VLD Elite Hunters using RL26. Finally decided on a load and was able

I bought the Savage Model 10 in 6.5 creedmoor about a year ago. I broke the barrel in and have been taking my time developing loads for this rifle. I developed 2 really consistant loads for it. I found that this rifle likes 130 grain bullets. I tested sev

February 9, 2022Savage model 10
I bought this rifle in 6.5 creedmoor for a long range rifle. Shipping was fast and as always Cabela’s was top notch. After a small break in (15) rounds this gun was shooting half inch groups with the cheapest Ammo I could find, love this gun for lots less

February 9, 2022Barrel Break in.
I purchased the 6.5 Creedmoor Savage 10T-SR, 3 weeks before the $100 mail in rebate! Just my Luck. I down loaded the barrel break in procedures for Savage's website and followed them. The break in went Ok, I was using the Hornady American Whitetail ammo.

February 9, 2022Best Gun
I own several top dollar rifles. This Savage is the gun of choice. I have shot my 6.5 well over a mile. It is so consistent that I can have any first time shooters, shoot targets out to 1000 yards.

February 9, 2022Very impressed with my first Savage
As a left hander I was thrilled to see the 10T-SR offered in 6.5 creedmoor, lefty. Ordered online sight unseen. Initial impression is a nice weight, well balanced, good overall appearance. Not real keen on the bolt though. Mounted up a set of rings and a

February 9, 2022Rediculously accurate for the money
I got my Savage 10t-SR in 308. I upgraded the stock to a Choate tactical, added a muzzle brake, switched out the scope mount for a low rise set by Eotech for perfect cheek weld and topped it with a Burris XTR 25X scope. All said and done I have about $200

February 9, 2022Great Value. Great Rifle
This is a great rifle for someone wanting to shoot at long distances. My 6.5 Creedmoor Savage 10T-SR hits sub-moa all day. The bolt is smooth but somewhat tight, which I like. It feeds the 6.5 very well. This rifle can do just as much as other rifles pric

February 9, 2022Extremely disappointed
I have purchased a Savage 10T-SR in 6mm creedmoor and Hornady 103gr ELD-X ammo. The bolt was hard to close and after firing, the brass showed signs of extreme pressure. The primer fell out, the head stamp was flattened and brass pushed into the ejector ho

February 9, 2022GREAT shooter!
My gun doesn't have the threaded barrel but it is a GREAT shooter right out of the box, especially with a 1.5 lb. trigger! It loves the factory Hornady 143 gr. ELD-X ammo and 140 gr. Winchester Match ammo almost as well. I mounted a Cabela's Covenant 6.5

February 9, 2022Great value for a Great product
I purchased a Savage 10T-SR in .308 caliber this when it was on sale for $100 off, then Savage was running an additional $100 mail-in rebate. For that final price, you can't beat the performance on this rifle.

February 9, 2022small annoyances

February 9, 2022Nice Rifle
I bought one of these in 223 Remington. Began the break-in process this week and I'm very pleased with the shooting using factory ammo. I'll begin reloading some rounds for it tomorrow and am looking forward to nice groups. This rifle is a bit heavy, but
