I bought the 686-6 + a couple of months ago. I took it out to the range to sight it in after having it a week. The sight elevation screw was locked up and would not adjust the sight - brand new out of box. Windage worked fine. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I wish I still had this one. A trigger job smoothed the action and i changed the grips several times. In the end I found it shot best with factory grips. This is a handgun you can, and should, cherish and keep forever.

I purchased the Model 686plus 6". Outstanding accuracy right out of the box. Grips are extremely comfortable and could shoot 357 mag all day. Very solid gun with no malfunctions. Extremely happy with my purchase!

Excellent gun

I love this gun, take it to the range all the time. I have put several hundred rounds through the gun without a problem. Very little recoil even with .357 rounds. I usually use 38 special rounds since they are cheaper. Adjusting the sights are very easy.

Very fun and well built

I have the 686plus 4" Shoots all ammo well, reliable, heavy enough to shoot magnums all day long without discomfort, shoots .38s like a plinker. Good adjustable sights, shoots bullseyes at 50 yds. Only limited by your own skill.

Good revolver

Shot it a couple of times, with the hammer pulled back the hair trigger is really sensitive, which can be surprising the first couple shots, but that is the only negative so far.
