February 9, 2022So far this is my favorite hand gun to shoot. Very well made. When I was looking to purchase a 1911 I looked at so many differant bands but always came back to the Springfield. You just can't go won't with the look and feel of it. I highly recommend it.

February 9, 2022Polished .45s can look gaudy. If you are worried you will be receiving an overly shinny .45, don't be. The highest surface on the slide and the frame are, semi-roughly, brushed - not polished. The rest is bead blasted. 'Bead blasted' doesn't look shin

Is the back strap reversable?
That is not a backstrap. On the 1911 that is the mainspring housing. This gun comes with a arched mainspring housing but you can buy aftermarket flat mainspring housings and change it. This can be done on any 1911

No it does not it has a standard Mill spec type grip safety a aftermarket Grip safety can easily be installed (may require minor fitting )

I think it does Springfield does not state anywhere if it does or does not have the ILS the owners manual covers all the 1911s and shows the ILS I suggest that you call springfield and ask Call 1-800-680-6866
