Is this 40 double action?
Hi Stephen, Yes this is double action only.
yes it is a very good revolver the recoil on it is not bad because it has enough weight. with lighter 44 mag and 44 special rounds it can be a joy to shoot some of the really heavy loads and become unpleasant
Magazine
No Hung. This model is a "Single Stack" magazine and the 16rd Magazine is "Double Stack".
Not currently Mario. Only the 9 revolvers listed here are on the CA Approved Roster at this time : (oag.ca.gov/firearms/certguns?make=Taurus)
