Traditions Kentucky Percussion Complete Specs and Full Gun Specifications

Traditions' Kentucky .50-Cal. Percussion and Flintlock Rifles are ideal for hunters that want a classic look without sacrificing performance. Long octagonal barrels with 1:66" rate-of-twist rifling are perfect for patched-ball loads, plus the long sighting planes between the blade front sights and fixed notch rear sights enhance accuracy. Color case-hardened locks boast V-style mainsprings to speed lock times. Two-piece walnut-finished stocks are accented with solid-brass furniture so they look great hanging on your wall or out in the field.

Reliable ignition and great sight radiance

I love this rifle, I gave it a four only because I whis it had come with a threading on the ram rod to allow for attaching different jigs. Other than that it’s a great and reliable rifle.

Great, Reliable Rifle

I received this rifle as a Christmas gift in 2017, and I can say without a doubt it is the greatest gift I have ever received. I have the flintlock version, and it ignites consistently. I recieved the kit version and it was a great experience building it.

A great all-around muzzleloader

I own two of these, one of which I use for my own shooting, and one I use in the muzzleloader classes I teach. I own several Traditions firearms for use in classes, and they are all of the best quality. Worth every penny. [This review was collected as par

Awesome style and shooter!

I have always loved traditional muzzleloading. My dad started me at a young age of 10 yrs old. Although I have only harvested a few animals over the years, I still enjoy shooting the black powder rifles and the one shot challenge. I purchased the Kentucky

Stuck with an ugly gun.

I wanted a beautiful gun that I could proudly display in my house and take to the range. This turned out to not be the one for display. The rifle is assembled with 2 completely different colors of wood. The manufacture will not correct the problem because

Traditions Kentucky Percussion

Bought the rifle last month. It looks good and shoot quite well. This is my first Black Powder Gun so I will need some more practice to get the reloading times down.

Excellent kit

The only thing that could be improved are the assembly instructions, otherwise a very nice complete kit.

Traditions Kentucky 50 cal. flintlock

I received my flintlock December 2017 and took it to the range. Frist shot at 50 yards was 1 inch low and 1/4 inch left. My second shot cut the same hole. I was shooting a pre lube patch, round ball and 70 grains of 2 f powder as recommended by Traditions

A rifle that teaches patience

The great asset of black powder muzzle loaders is that you have to hit the target in one shot due to slow reload time. You learn marksmanship

Nice for the price.

Bought this as my first BP rifle. The rifle is sold as just a rifle. There are no accessories other than the wooden ramrod included in the box.

smokepole madness

Once again, I have nothing but good to say about this piece. The furniture is very nice and the detail is once again outstanding. 35 grains GOEX FFFg with GOEX FFFFg in the flash pan and it was all good. 5 shots at 100 yard, groupings of 5". You cant

Great for first timers.

Before I bought this rifle I had never actually seen a flintlock, let alone fired one. Once I gathered all the required equipment to go along with the rifle and went shooting, I found this rifle reliable and very accurate. I would not hesitate to recommen

Love this gun!!

I'm a total black powder rookie but this rifle had me hooked from the start. Very clean lines and historically accurate. I would suggest to anyone to seek out someone with experience for their first shoot. I didn't but had a heck of a lot of fun doing it.
