Winchester Model 101 Ultimate Complete Specs and Full Gun Specifications

The Winchester Model 101 Ultimate Field Over/Under Shotguns are fast-handling, smooth-swinging designs, made in Belgium to traditional Model 101 dimensions. At the heart is a low-profile steel receiver that enhances quick and instinctive shooting. With the low-profile receiver, recoil occurs in-line, directly back, reducing muzzle jump for faster follow-up shots. A Pachmayr® Decelerator® recoil pad absorbs recoil also aiding in getting off rapid second shots, while reducing shooter fatigue in the field or on the range. Invector-Plus™ interchangeable choke tube system works hand-in-hand with .742 back-bored barrels to reduce shot deformation and promote uniform shot patterns. Hard, chrome-plated chambers and bores provide surfaces that are highly resistant to wear and corrosion, and clean easily. The Winchester Model 101 Ultimate Field Over/Under Shotgun comes with a finely finished walnut stock and forend with 20-lines-per-inch checkering that provides both elegance and a nonslip grip. All metal components are machined to exact tolerances, and the wood-to-metal fits are extremely tight. Field shotgun comes with three Invector-Plus choke tubes (Full, Modified and Improved Cylider). Sporting shotgun comes with five extended Signature tubes (Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Skeet).

Trap/Skeet Gun

I’m not a hunter but I enjoy trap and skeet. I was looking for something new. (New toy) and I came across the Winchester 101. After reading every review I could find I purchased the gun. So far I have over 500 rounds threw the gun. Some reviews said that

Good value for an over/under

Bought this in April of 2018 and can say that I have been pleased with my purchase. I have taken it trap shooting about 12 times 100 rounds each. No issues whatsoever. It fits well, handles great and have had friends with guns twice the price say they wou

I’m one of those people that is always looking for the best dead. I searched the internet looking for something nicer but didn’t break the bank. I all but gave up when I came across this beauty. Nothing even comes close at that price point and the value p

wow great gun

I used this gun today for the first time. put 150 loads through it shooting clays at the range and it didn't miss a beat. Accurate, swings well, looks great and recoil isn't bad at all! You can't beat this gun for the price tag. It shoots well, looks good

Sticky Trigger Update

My review 2 yrs ago indicated that there was a trigger problem. After about 6 months I sent it back to the factory and the problem was corrected. For the money it's a very good shotgun, especially if you are new to sporting clays.

Defective Forearm

I love how this shotgun fits and shoots but the forearm cracked within a month and has issues ejecting both shells. I’ve sent off to Browning for repair and I’m one month in and was told to expect to wait another 2 months.

Great Gun For The Money

I picked this gun up in the beginning of January this year. Out of the box it has wood thats easy on the eyes, once you get that factory oil off of it and put a good grease and oil job on it, it breaks easy and locks up good. Ive taken it out twice since

A Gun For Everyone

We bought this apprehensive about me (46 year old female) shooting a 12 gauge getting into sporting clays. I had a youth 20 gauge that kicked a lot and was worried the 12 would do same. Smoothest shot ever. The weight keeps the kick down. Improved my accu

What a great shotgun

I have had the 101 Ultimate Field for about 6 months and used it for clays, pheasants and chukar. I have been shooting for 45 years and have several shotguns, some costing 4 times what I paid for the 101 from Bass Pro. This 101 compares just fine. It's no

Updated Review: IT'S EVEN BETTER!!!

Shot some skeet, it was great, shot some trap, great there too. Took it out to the dove fields and COULD NOT MISS, well...95% of the time! I was as surprised as my buddies. Must be the perfect fit and balance. I put extended chokes in it and the guys were

Improved trap scores the 1st time out with this gun! It is very easy to shoulder and swing. The pachmayr recoil pad does help but I still like to use a shooting vest with added protection for prolonged shooting at the range. The fit and finish of the meta

Great Buy

I have more expensive guns, but needed something for the field while working dogs that I wouldn't get upset if it got a ding in it. While its not season yet I have had it out to the trap range quite a bit. I can break just as many birds with this as I can

101 Field Gun

I decided to look at the 101 after reading the reviews and seeing it was built by FN. I compared it to the Berretta 686's that I had been looking at. I felt the fit and finish are equal and liked the look and feel of the Winchester. After shooting clays w

Great Shotgun!

I recently purchased this shotgun back in July. I have shot more than 2,500 rounds out of it with absolutely no issues. On that note, I do clean my gun every 500 rounds. I can't wait to take my new Winchester on my first pheasant hunt in a few weeks.

Great Trap Gun

I wanted to try Trap shooting so bought an inexpensive Rem 870 pump to see if I liked Trap. The Rem is a fine gun but I really enjoyed shooting clays so decided to upgrade to the Winchester 101. BassPro had an exclusive Ultimate 101 for around $1500 which

Fair product overall

Overall I am satisfied with the purchase. I don't feel as if it is in the same category as some of the higher end over-unders, but I don't think it lags far behind. I shoot 3-6 rounds of skeet a week and haven't had any major issues at this point. Occasio

I researched reviews and read articles on four other big names in the over/under industry, all of which where at least $800.00 more expensive for a field gun. The craftsmanship on the 101 is second to none. (The FN connection in the 101's manufacturing sh
